PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a roller, capable of forming an elastic layer on an outer peripheral surface of a shaft body with high adhesiveness.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a roller 1 having an elastic layer 3 formed on an outer peripheral surface of a shaft body 2 includes: a step of conducting an atmospheric pressure plasma treatment on the outer peripheral surface by applying an end of a flame core of plasma to the outer peripheral surface of the shaft body 2 under conditions (1) and (2); and a step of arranging an addition curing type conductive liquid silicone rubber composition under a condition (I) on the outer peripheral surface subjected to the plasma treatment. The condition (1): a shortest distance from an end of a plasma electrode to the outer peripheral surface of the shaft body is 5 mm or less, the condition (2): a time of the atmospheric pressure plasma treatment is 20 seconds or more, and the condition (I): an elapse time after the plasma treatment is within 2 hours. |
