PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cassette which enables a user to identify the kind of a tape from the appearance of the tape cassette.SOLUTION: In the tape cassette 30, a printing tape is housed inside a cassette case 31. The cassette case 31 has an arm part 34 for guiding the printing tape and ejecting the printing tape from an opening 34A. An arm identification part 800 is provided on an upstream side in the conveying direction of the printing tape, adjacent to the opening 34A on the arm front surface 35 of the arm part 34. The arm identification part 800 faces a plurality of arm detection switches projecting toward the arm front surface 35 of the cassette case 31 attached to a cassette attaching part 8, and includes a pressing part and a non-pressing part in a prescribed pattern corresponding to the kind of the tape. |
