PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that allows a user to operate the display device as intended by the user when the user operates it using the line of sight.SOLUTION: A line-of-sight detection unit 202 detects the line of sight of a user from an image of the face of the user obtained by an imaging unit 106. An identification unit 201 identifies a position touched by the user on a surface of a display unit 1042. A first control unit 203 controls the display unit 1042 so that a sub menu for operating a display device is displayed at the position identified by the identification unit 201. A second control unit 204 controls the display unit 1042 so that the position of a cursor is fixed when the sub menu is displayed on the display unit 1042, and that the position of the cursor is determined on the basis of the line of sight detected by the line-of-sight detection unit and the cursor is displayed at the determined position when the sub menu is not displayed on the display unit 1042.
