PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquisition device and an object detection device that can accurately acquire distance information by suppressing undesirable matching between dots which is generated upon searching for a movement position in a reference area.SOLUTION: The information acquisition device acquires the distance information on the basis of a reference image photographed by a CMOS image sensor 240 upon irradiating a reference surface with laser light having a dot pattern and an actual measurement image photographed by the CMOS image sensor 240 upon an actual measurement. Herein, the dot pattern is configured according to a rule to include, on the reference image surface, at least one pair of areas having a distribution position of dots not perfectly matching to each other within a predetermined range of a projection optical system 100 and a light reception optical system 200 in an aligning direction. |
