<p>The invention relates to a rotor head (20) of a rotary wing flying machine with a fuselage, a rotor mast (21) or a rotor shaft (22) extending above the fuselage. A plurality of rotor blades (23 to 26) extends radially from the rotor mast (21) or rotor shaft (22), and a means (2) for attaching the blades (23 to 26) to the rotor mast (21) or rotor shaft (22) permits flapping, pitch, and lead-lag blade movements of the blades (23 to 26). A fairing/aerodynamically shaped hub-cap (3) encloses the rotor mast (21) or rotor shaft (22) and the blade attaching means (2). The fairing/hub-cap (3) forms a chamber for the rotor mast (21) or rotor shaft (22) and has a peripheral cut-out for each blade (23 to 25), the blade (23 to 26) through which extends radially from the rotor mast (21) or rotor shaft (22). The cut-outs are sized to accommodate all of the movements of the blades (23 to 26) with the blade attaching means (2) encountered in operation. The present invention relates as well to a method of manufacturing and assembling the components of the rotor head (20) of the present invention.</p> |
