PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion battery which makes possible to increase the reliability by suppressing a failure stemming from an internal short circuit without affecting the battery performance.SOLUTION: A lithium ion battery comprises: a positive electrode; a negative electrode; a separator for isolating the positive and negative electrodes from each other; an electrolyte for charge and discharge reactions between the positive and negative electrodes; and a metal-dissolution-preventer-holding part for holding a metal dissolution preventer for suppressing the dissolution of metal into the electrolyte. |
