A method for drilling in which coiled tubing and jointed pipe are combined in a way in which jointed pipe can be rotated with conventional equipment, and in which tripping in and out of the hole can be performed with coiled tubing that is not pressurized. An assembly including crossovers and eventually a swivel for connecting coiled tubing to conventional drill string elements. It is suggested that Fig. 1 is published with the abstract.
