PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a hole in a medium with precision, while preventing conveyance failure of the medium conveyed in a punching apparatus.SOLUTION: A punching apparatus (PU) includes: a conveyance path (9) having a guide surface (7a) for guiding a medium (S); a punching member (51) which is disposed correspondingly to apertures (7b to 7e) formed in the guide surface (7a), passes through the apertures (7b to 7e), and intrudes into the conveyance path (9) in order to form a hole in the medium (S); a guide member (74) which is disposed at a position corresponding to the apertures (7b to 7e) and capable of contacting the medium (S) by intruding into the conveyance path (9) beyond the guide surface (7a); and a linkage member (88) which, when forming the hole in the medium (S), makes the guide member (74) intrude into the conveyance path (9) in linkage with conveyance of the medium (S) to a downstream side in a conveyance direction and further makes the guide member (74) retreat from the conveyance path (9) in linkage with conveyance of the medium (S) to a hole forming position. |
