<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce inequality between a candidate for the subject of initial selection and a plurality of other candidates to enhance operability when a user is allowed to select a candidate. <P>SOLUTION: In an information processing apparatus 10, a candidate display control part 12 positions a predetermined one of the plurality of candidates at a predetermined center, arranges the other candidates radially in a plurality of directions from the center, and displays the plurality of candidates as a list on a display part 20. When first receiving a moving operation with a direction key 31 from an input part 30, the information processing apparatus 10 points a selection cursor 22 at a candidate set at an original point position as the subject of selection and displays the candidate.
