PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston of an engine in which the supply of engine oil to a recessed part 3 can be improved.SOLUTION: The piston of an engine is provided in which resin coating films 2 and recessed parts 3 are provided on a surface of a skirt part 1. In the piston, the plurality of resin coating films 2 are arranged in a spot shape on the surface of the skirt part 1, and the recessed parts 3 formed between the resin coating films 2 form net-shaped grooves 4. Furthermore, resin coating film rows 5 in which the plurality of resin coating films 2 are formed at prescribed intervals in the circumferential direction of the skirt part 1 are formed, the plurality of resin coating film rows 5 are arranged in a piston ascending/descending direction 6, and both-end openings 7a, 7b of grooves 7 formed between the adjacent resin coating films 2 of the same resin coating film rows 5 are directed toward the resin coating films 2 of the adjacent resin coating film rows 5. |
