<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chopstick rest for solving the problems that: a pair of chopsticks is essential and important for meal, but a chopstick rest has sober and unnoticeable presence, compared to tableware for setting off Japanese cuisine, such as dishes, bowls, and rice bowls; a chopstick rest makes difficult to take chopsticks, and has a simple and small shape so as to be troublesome to handle and sometimes be lost; and chopsticks are placed in an unarranged manner during meal so as to make chopsticks roll and cause a lack of stability.SOLUTION: A chopstick rest is such that: recessed notches 2 or dents are provided on both tips positioned on the upper parts by bending a flat material in a curved or polygonal shape; a bottom is a circular arc surface 6 or a left-right inclined plane; the material is placed on the top surface of a base plate 3 and fastened; and a groove to place a toothpick on is provided on the top surface of the base plate 3 so as to give multifunctionality.</p> |
