PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable various abnormalities in an electric vehicle to be detected.SOLUTION: A harmonic component of electric current shows a change in an order depending on a type and a place of occurrence of an abnormality in a drive system including a motor 3 and the abnormality in a circuit system including an inverter 7. Thus, an abnormality determination ECU 10: stores a waveform of the harmonic component in a memory when no abnormality is detected; and detects the change in the harmonic component by comparing the waveform of the harmonic component measured during travel with the waveform stored in the memory. Therefore, an abnormality detection device 1 can detect various abnormalities in an electric vehicle 2.
