摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a methacrylate-based iodine-terminated polymer having excellent light stability and a production method of the methacrylate-based iodine-terminated polymer, and to provide a block copolymer obtained by using the methacrylate-based iodine-terminated polymer and another production method of the block copolymer.SOLUTION: The iodine-terminated polymer has such a structure that an iodine atom is bonded to at least one terminal end of a methacrylate-based polymer while interposing an acrylate-based monomer-derived structural unit therebetween. The iodine-terminated polymer is produced by living radical polymerization of a methacrylate-based monomer, preferably, in the presence of iodine and reacting an acrylate monomer with the obtained methacrylate-based polymer. The block copolymer is obtained by living radical polymerization of a (meth) acrylate-based monomer in the presence of the iodine-terminated polymer.</p>
