<p>An elevator device is configured in such a manner that a vertically movable body is disposed between first and second guide rails. The vertically movable body is provided with an emergency stop device and a horizontal displacement restriction device, which are arranged vertically with a space therebetween. The horizontal displacement restriction device has first and second displacement restriction sections. The first displacement restriction section restricts the horizontal displacement of the vertically movable body relative to the first guide rail when the emergency stop device is activated. The second displacement restriction section restricts the horizontal displacement of the vertically movable body relative to the second guide rail when the emergency stop device is activated.</p> |
