PURPOSE:To print a continuous pattern of optional size by converting a continuous pattern of a pattern memory as prearranged according to the numbers of vertical and horizontal dots from a position where printing is begun only through a minimum basic pattern memory provided. CONSTITUTION:The size of a continuous basic pattern to be read by an input device 2 such as key board from a pattern memory 3 through a control part 5 is converted in accordance with the numbers of vertical and horizontal dots from a position where printing is begun. In the same manner, a pattern application starting dot position from the device 2 is set according to the number of horizontal dots from a printing starting point and a printing unit 4 is controlled by the control part 5. Consequently, it is possible to print a pattern of optional size at an optional position only by providing a minimum basic pattern memory. |
