PURPOSE:To prevent the inside and outside of a machine and an operator from being contaminated owing to the scattering of powdery toner by supplying the powdery toner in a cartridge gravitationally by a receiving member and a cover member. CONSTITUTION:A toner storage body 1 is placed in a storage body receiving member 7 with seal paper 4 up, and the cover member 8 is closed after the paper 4 is removed to press down a sector gear 11; and the member 9 is rotated by a spur gear 10 and the storage body 1 is rotated by 180 deg. so that an opening faces down, discharging the powdery toner from the opening 6. On the other hand, the storage body 1 is taken out by reverse operation. Thus, the storage body 1 is rotated while sealed from the outside by the receiving member 7 and cover member 8, so no toner scatters out, so that the inside and outside of the machine and an operator are not contaminated. Further, this thin, long storage body 1 is loaded in the receiving member 7 in a horizontal state from above, so the storage body 1 is set extremely easily without damage. |
