PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device that selects an appropriate voxel from three-dimensional data of brightness-independent information, and can create image data projected on a two-dimensional plane.SOLUTION: A subject information acquisition device includes: reception means for receiving an acoustic wave that propagates from inside a subject at a plurality of measurement positions; and processing means for creating projection image data in which the distribution of characteristics information on a measurement object inside the subject is projected on a two-dimensional plane. The processing means creates intensity-dependent three-dimensional image data inside the subject based on the acoustic wave, creates intensity-independent three-dimensional image data inside the subject, determines voxel coordinates projected on the two-dimensional plane from the intensity-independent three-dimensional image data based on the intensity-dependent three-dimensional image data, and creates projection image data. |
