PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the attitude of a fixing belt while employing a configuration to press the fixing belt toward a pressure member side with a pressing member.SOLUTION: A fixing device 18 of the present invention includes: a fixing belt 22 that is provided rotatably around a rotation shaft A; a pressure member 23 that is in pressure contact with the fixing belt 22 to form a fixing nip 55 and rotatably provided; a pressing member 28 that presses the fixing belt 22 toward the pressure member 23 side; a separation member 29 that separates a recording medium passed through the fixing nip 55 from the fixing belt 22; an upstream side guide member 30a that is in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt 22 on the upstream side of the fixing nip 55 in the direction of rotation of the fixing belt 22; and a downstream side guide member 30b that is in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt 22 on the downstream side of the fixing nip 55 in the direction of rotation of the fixing belt 22.
