PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle display control device and an on-vehicle display control method capable of displaying information other than meter information in an easily understandable manner without damaging visibility of the meter information.SOLUTION: In overlapping display areas 23a, 23b in which first display areas 21a, 21b for displaying a meter image overlap with a second display area 22 for displaying a navigation image, an on-vehicle display control device includes: an unused region determination unit 4 for determining unused regions 25a, 25b in which a pointer of the meter image is not displayed; and a display control unit 3 for displaying one part (an image of the portion corresponding to the unused regions 25a, 25b) of the navigation image, with respect to the determined unused regions 25a, 25b. By displaying one portion of the navigation image which is not expanded/reduced in place of the meter image with respect to the unused regions 25a, 25b in which the pointer of the meter image is not displayed, the information amount of the navigation image is increased and display can be performed in an easily understandable manner. |
