PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine drive device which can suppress the rise of a smoothing capacitor voltage after starting to use the protection circuit having an active element.SOLUTION: Between a DC minus line 9 and a neutral point 19, there are provided a second protection circuit active element 30, which is a P-channel MOSFET, a protection circuit resistor 33 and a protection circuit capacitor 34 which are connected in series. Further, in parallel to the second protection circuit active element 30, a second protection circuit reflux diode 31 is provided in such a manner that the anode terminal is connected to the DC minus line side. The second protection circuit active element 30 and the second protection circuit reflux diode 31 configure a second protection circuit switch 32. Also, the protection circuit resistance 33 and the protection circuit capacitor 34 configure a smoothing capacitor voltage suppression part 35. |
