PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a head-mounted display including display screens at right and left sides from being enlarged by projecting images of two systems on the display screen at one side.SOLUTION: A first display part 10 includes a first display screen 111 which is disposed in a field of view of one eye of a user who mounts the head-mounted display. A second display part 20 includes a second display screen 221 and a third display screen 231 which are disposed in a field of view of the other eye of the user. A first projection part 8 projects an image on the first display screen 111 under a first mode and projects an image on the third display screen 231 under a second mode. A second projection part 9 projects an image on the second display screen 221 under the first mode and the second mode. A polarization switching part 40 is disposed on an optical path of at least either a projection light representing the image projected by the first projection part 8 or a projection light representing the image projected by the second projection part 9, and switches a polarization direction of the projection light in the optical path. |
