PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transferring mechanism for a card and an image forming apparatus for a card having the same capable of adequately preventing warpage of a card when executing a non-contact heating operation. SOLUTION: In the image transferring mechanism 1 for a card, the heating operation is applied to a card C in which an ink image receiving sheet IS having an image printed by a sublimation dye ink is laminated on a surface of a card body 50 and the image held on the ink image receiving sheet IS is thermally transferred to the surface of the card body 50. The image transferring mechanism 1 comprises a non-contact heater 31 for executing the heating operation of the card C and a card loading table 35 for horizontally providing the card C to the non-contact heater 31. The card loading table 35 is so constituted that it can attract the card C.
