PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably and quickly reduce output of a nuclear power plant at a constant speed to a target load in response to a substantial load change request.SOLUTION: In an output control method of a nuclear power plant including: a nuclear reactor output control device 12 controlling nuclear reactor output; a recirculation flow rate control device 5 controlling a recirculation flow rate on the basis of an output signal from the nuclear reactor output control device 12; a control rod drive control device 4 driving and controlling control rods; and a main turbine control device 9 controlling a supply amount of steam generated by a nuclear reactor to a main turbine by a control valve 10 and a bypass valve 11, output of the nuclear power plant is reduced by the recirculation flow rate control device 5 and, subsequently, the output of the nuclear power plant is reduced by drive control of the control rods by the control rod drive control device 4 and control of the control valve 10 and/or the bypass valve 11 by the main turbine control device 9 when a load reduction request of the nuclear power plant is issued. |
