PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool with an upper cutting edge and a lower cutting edge, the cutting tool being capable of being held stably and at the same time ejecting the swarf steadily.SOLUTION: The cutting insert according to one aspect of the present invention comprises: a polygonal upper surface having a first side, a second side, and an angled portion; a polygonal lower surface corresponding to the upper surface; side surfaces; an upper cutting edge; and a lower cutting edge. The upper cutting edge comprises: a corner cutting edge located at the angled portion of the upper surface; a first cutting edge located at the first side; and a second cutting edge located at the second side. The upper surface comprises: a first flat land surface arranged along the first side; a second flat land surface arranged along the second side; and a flat mount surface arranged inside apart from the land surfaces. The first cutting edge is longer than the second cutting edge and the mount surface is closer to the second land surface than the first land surface, in a top view. |
