PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision detection device for a vehicle capable of detecting collision of a vehicle accurately without being affected by a road surface property on which the vehicle travels.SOLUTION: An acceleration determination unit 3g of an air bag controller 3 detects collision of a vehicle 6 when acceleration G1 larger than a main acceleration threshold value Gm is detected by a main sensor 3a, and when acceleration G2 larger than a sub acceleration threshold value Gs is detected by a safing sensor 3b. When the collision of the vehicle 6 is detected, by an air bag drive unit 3h of the air bag controller 3, an air bag device 4 is operated. Inside tires of the vehicle, air pressure sensors 2a-2d are mounted respectively. When an instantaneous air pressure detection value Pt detected by one or two of the air pressure sensors 2a-2d exceeds an instantaneous air pressure threshold value Pi, a threshold value adjustment unit 3f detects that the vehicle is travelling on a bad road, and increases the main acceleration threshold value Gm stored in a threshold value storage unit 3e. |
