<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a memory capacity which stores font data for character images of an image prepared date in a sublimation type printer apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This sublimation type printer apparatus is equipped with an image storing section, a font storing section which stores the font data, a character image forming section which forms character images corresponding to the font data, an image storage section which records printing images and character images, a CPU which controls the overall apparatus, and a printed image editing section which edits printed image data, and a printing section. The font data is formed into rectangular data of rectangular character elements for which character images for all required dates are decomposed into rectangles in advance. The font data is represented by offset point coordinates (x and y) indicating the starting point of a rectangular drawn image on the X-Y coordinates, and the width and height information. Then, the character images for the image prepared date are formed by combining respective decomposed rectangular character elements. Thus, the font data can be represented by a text data format, and the memory capacity for storing the font data can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
