The system dispenses liq. in metered quantities from a reservoir, using a pump connected to the latter. It is partic. for use with automatic vending machines, delivering concentrate from the reservoir for mixing with carbonised water. A plunger pump (7) is fixed to the reservoir (1) by a plug connector (14, 15) for its housing (13), and has a further connector (22), in which an actuating member (21) of a drive mechanism (24, 20) in a fixed mounting engages.
