Ceiling light fixture designed as a wall-wash fixture

A light fixture 1 that may be used as either a wall-wash or ceiling-wash fixture has a lighting unit 14 with a light source 15 held by a mounting frame 7 that frames an aperture 8. The lighting unit 14 has optics 16 for focusing the light emitted from the light source 15. Light passes through a distribution plate 19 and a reflector 21 reflects the emitted light. The lighting unit 14 is mounted eccentrically so that its optical axis 20 is angled with respect to the mounting axis 9 of the mounting frame 7. The reflector 21 extends over a fraction of the inner circumference of the light exit aperture 8 and is situated on the side of the mounting frame 7 to which the lighting unit 14 has been eccentrically displaced.
