<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting element which emits light in a near-infrared region and has high efficiency and a long service life, and to provide a light-emitting device, an authentication device, and an electronic device provided with the light-emitting element. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting element includes an anode, a cathode, and a light-emitting layer provided between the anode and the cathode. The light-emitting layer is configured to contain a compound represented by the following formula (1) and a compound represented by the following formula IRH-1.
