Method for creating heat insulation for façades around a window

The method involves point-symmetrically cutting a flat cuboid-shaped insulation board (1) with respect to its centre such that two insulation board parts (2, 2`) are formed and mirror-symmetrically attached to both sides of a window (6). An auxiliary recess (3) for accommodation of ends of the window is formed in a passage area between areas of the respective board parts. Fire protection units are arranged above the window and the board is partially provided with an oblique section, where the board is manufactured from polystyrene. An independent claim is also included for an insulation board as a heat insulation for facade in the area of a window.
