A smart power grid system for a cluster of power management devices used for efficient monitoring, controlling, metering including equitable distribution of electrical power to consumers corresponding to demand-generation status by eliminating power theft, the smart power grid system comprising: at least one of power generation source including at least one of one or more non-conventional variable energy generation sources and a traditional A.C. power grid; a central controller; and a plurality of power management devices, wherein each power management device of the plurality of power management devices comprises: a. a microcontroller having a processor, a plurality of interfaces, a switch driver, a tamper detector, and a logic for backup power source;b. a circuit protection means;c. a metering device to measure at least one of AC power, DC power, and a combination of AC and DC power supplied by the smart power grid system and consumed by the consumers;d. a plurality of switches for preventing overloading of the smart power grid system and illegal consumption of power, and for monitoring power supply from the power grid, each switch of the plurality of switches operable by the switch driver;e. a local storage means, having a charge monitoring circuit, for temporarily supplementing a shortfall of power generation or power consumption lower than power generation; andf. a grid communication interface allowing each of the power management devices to communicate with the central controller, each grid communication interface being at least one of physically connected or remotely connected, to implement an intelligent demand-response, to identify an area of power loss or theft, to perform remote trouble shooting, and to update payment for power consumption, the central controller, disposed in at least one of wireless or wired communication with the microcontroller of each power management device, is configured to maximize power output from the at least one power generation sources, to prioritize each power management device through associated fanout, to maximize distributed storage, including equitable distribution of power, and to maximize remote stack management to prevent power-theft.
