The present invention relates to hepatitis A virus antigen protein, and to a hepatitis A virus vaccine composition comprising the same. According to the present invention, the hepatitis A virus antigen protein and the vaccine composition show an excellent antibody-induced response against hepatitis A virus and has effects of neutralizing hepatitis A virus, thereby being useful for preventing, treating, and diagnosing a new type of hepatitis A virus with improved stability and productivity that an existing killed vaccine has have.
