PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective technology for properly expanding a needle thread loop at each arbitrary oscillation position of a sewing needle, in a sewing machine having a function for performing zigzag stitching on a workpiece.SOLUTION: In a sewing machine, a sewing needle N sews a workpiece by moving vertically, and the sewing needle N can oscillate in the right-and-left direction of the sewing machine for performing zigzag stitching on the workpiece. It includes: a rotary shuttle 31; a bobbin case 34; and a falling prevention mechanism 35 for preventing falling of a front side loop portion expanding to the front side of the sewing needle N out of the needle thread loops at each arbitrary oscillation position of the sewing needle N. |
