PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-phase system stainless steel wire excellent in magnetic properties with high in durability with time and corrosion resistance while enhancing weaving workability as for magnetic wire gauze and capable of exhibiting excellent toughness and a magnetic wire gauze product using the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a two-phase system stainless steel wire having a crystal structure of an austenite phase and a ferrite phase and excellent in magnetic properties and containing, by mass%, C:0.001 to 0.06%, Si:0.02 to 1.0%, Mn:0.05 to 2.0%, Ni:5.0 to 8.0%, Cr:20.0 to 28.0%, Mo:1.0 to 5.0% and 0.08 to 0.35% of N and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. There is provided stainless steel wire where a steel wire has a tensile strength of 800 to 1150 MPa and elongation of 15% or more and a characteristic value X between elongation (%) and a bearing force ratio (%) in the following formula (1) of 0.50 or less.
