PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emission device that can suppress deterioration of quantum dots of a sealing portion due to gas, water or the like, and increase the lifetime of the device.SOLUTION: A light emission device 1 has a device body 10, a light source 20, a light emission portion 30 and a cover member 40. The device body 10 has a recess portion 13. The light source 20 is disposed on the bottom wall 13b of the recess portion 13. The light emission portion 30 is disposed so that light from the light source 20 is incident to the light emission portion in the recess portion 13. The light emission portion 30 contains quantum dots. The cover member 40 blocks the recess portion 13, and seals the light source 20 and the light emission portion 30 together with the device body 10. |
