According to an embodiment of the present invention, a secondary battery comprises: a case; an electrode assembly which is accommodated in the case; a cap plate which shields an opening of the case; a terminal unit which is electrically connected to the electrode assembly and installed in the cap plate; and a connection member which protrudes from the terminal unit and is separated from the cap plate to electrically connect the terminal unit with the cap plate.
