PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a range of a developing bias that can be used in a developing device that generates a prevention bias for preventing scattering of a developer from the developing bias.SOLUTION: A developing device developing an electrostatic latent image on an image carrier by using a developer includes: a developing high-voltage part 100 that outputs a developing bias in which a DC bias and an AC bias are superimposed with each other; a developing sleeve 41 to which the developing bias is applied; a prevention bias generation circuit 400 that holds the peak value of the developing bias to generate a prevention bias that prevents scattering of a developer carried by the developing sleeve; and an electrode 304 that is provided at a position facing the developing sleeve 41 to output the prevention bias. |
