PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method capable of achieving certain display control without a break in caption display of TTML caption data.SOLUTION: In a case where a setting value of a caption display termination time requirement attribute of TTML caption data is a continuous display instruction value, memory storage and display processing of caption data being displayed is continued even after a reproduction termination timing of an image file, and switching processing of the TTML caption data file is executed. In a case where the setting value of a caption display start time requirement attribute of the TTML caption data is a continuous display instruction value, whether or not there is a character string in display processing continuation is determined, and if yes, the continuous display of a display character is continued. Due to these processings, display control without a break in caption display of TTML caption data is achieved. |
