PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for suppressing a damage which a biological specimen receives during a preparatory work for observation.SOLUTION: The image display method is configured to, when a non-imaged area which has not been imaged is included in a display object area (a frame area F) selected from among the areas of a sample as an area to be subjected to image display, irradiate an image object area B with illumination light including the non-imaged area and excluding an imaged area A which has already been imaged, and image the image of the image object area B, and on the basis of the image data of the imaged area A and the image data of the image object area B, display the image of the display object area (the frame area F). |
