PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas barrier packaging material capable of manufacturing only by a common coating device without applying a high heat high-pressure treatment such as a retort treatment.SOLUTION: A gas barrier packaging material includes: a support medium; and a gas barrier layer including an adhesion layer (A) formed on one side of the support medium and a barrier layer (B) formed on the adhesion layer (A). The adhesion layer (A) includes an aqueous polyurethane resin (a1), a water-soluble polymer (a2) and a curative (a3). The compounding ratio of the aqueous polyurethane resin (a1) and the water-soluble polymer (a2) is 10:90-60:40 at a mass ratio.
