PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lash adjuster capable of restraining occurrence of air entrainment even when the size is reduced.SOLUTION: A lash adjuster 10 includes a bottomed cylindrical body 11, and a bottomed cylindrical plunger 12 sliding on an inner peripheral surface of the body 11 so as to be reciprocated. A valve hole 23 is provided in a radial center portion of a bottom wall 17 of the plunger 12, a low pressure chamber 24 in which working fluid is stored is provided in the plunger 12, and in a bottom portion of the body 11, a high pressure chamber 25 in which the working fluid is stored is provided between the body 11 and the bottom wall 17 of the plunger 12, and a valve element 27 for opening and closing the valve hole 23 is stored in the high pressure chamber 25. A resistance part 13 for imparting resistance to the working fluid flowing from the low pressure chamber 24 toward the high pressure chamber 25 through the valve hole 23 is provided in the low pressure chamber 24, at least at a radial center portion confronting the valve hole 23. |
