Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for evaluating performance for software filtering by measuring the same with different standards. The method for evaluating the performance for software filtering, performed by a software filtering apparatus, comprises the following steps: evaluating the performance of a process where the software filtering apparatus extracts feature information from target software; and evaluating the performance of a process of filtering the target software as the software filtering apparatus judges whether the feature information exists in a feature information DB. Accordingly, the method can prevent a software filtering technology of which performance is not verified from being thoughtlessly propagated.
