The memory (20) further comprises a reserved compartment (60) separate from the execution environment (56), the reserved compartment comprising at least one security function (68, 70, 72, 73). The kernel (48) is further configured so as to redirect, to the reserved compartment (60), a request from the application (54A,..., 54D) to an electronic device (64) external to the computing device (12), in order for said request to be processed by a corresponding security function (70, 73).
