The invention relates to an ultrasonic sensor (3) for a motor vehicle (1), comprising a transmitting device (8) for emitting ultrasonic waves, wherein the transmitting device (8) has a membrane and an actuating unit, by means of which actuating unit the membrane can be moved in order to emit the ultrasonic waves, and comprising a memory device (9), in which at least one operating parameter of the ultrasonic sensor (3) is stored, wherein at least one resonance value (fR), which describes a resonance frequency of the transmitting device (8), is stored in the memory device (9) as the at least one operating parameter of the ultrasonic sensor (3). In this way, the ultrasonic sensor can be reliably operated in dependence on the actual resonance frequency of the ultrasonic sensor. |
