Provided is an information processing device comprising: a character candidate extraction controller that, on the basis of information that corresponds to a target image which is a captured image of a target for which characters are to be recognized and that relates to imaging which includes information indicating an imaged position, extracts as a character candidate which is a candidate for a character to be recognized from the target image a character corresponding to the information that relates to the imaging, and such extraction is made from reference information stored after associating information relating to imaging and characters; and a character determination processing unit that, on the basis of an extracted character candidate, selectively corrects a character recognized from the target image and determines the character to be recognized from the target image. The characters stored in the reference information include characters based on characters recognized from captured images in the past. |
