<p>The invention relates to the steps consisting of: supplying a low-resolution representation (BR_j; Map_j) of an object (Obj) to a client; selecting part of the object as a selected sub-object (SSObj_i); supplying, from the server (14) to the client, a high-resolution representation (HR_i) of the selected sub-object; the client modifying a high-resolution sub-mesh associated with the high-resolution representation of the selected sub-object; transmitting the modified high-resolution sub-mesh to the server; updating, on the server, a high-resolution instance (10bj) of the object using the modified high-resolution sub-mesh; and automatically reducing, via the server, a resolution of the modified high-resolution sub-mesh in order to obtain a modified low-resolution sub-mesh of the selected sub-object and transmit it to the client.</p> |
