<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a presetting handrail for use in a temporary scaffold, which allows for steady attachment with easy operation. <P>SOLUTION: A presetting handrail includes a horizontal member (6) which is arranged between a pair of neighboring columns each having flanges with a wedge hole at the top and the bottom, and a pair of diagonal members (8 and 8) which are rotatably and pivotally connected to both ends of the horizontal member through a pivot (7) and crossed to each other below the horizontal member. An engaging mechanism (10) arranged at an extension part (9) extending from the diagonal member (8) across the pivot (7) is engaged with the one column (2). A fastening mechanism (11) arranged at the lower end of the diagonal member (8) is fastened to the other column (2). When the extension part (9) is rotated to approach the column through the pivot (7), a first engaging member (12) of the engaging mechanism (10) enters the wedge hole (3a) of the flange (3) from above for engagement, while a second engaging member (13) is pressure-welded to the surface of the column (2). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
