MICRORNA-136 FOR THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF MUSCLE AGING

The present invention relates to a microRNA-136 as a marker for diagnosing muscle aging, and more specifically, the present invention relates to a composition for diagnosing muscle aging comprising an agent for measuring miRNA-136 or a fragment expression level thereof; a kit for diagnosing muscle aging comprising the composition; and a method which provides information for diagnosing muscle aging by including a step for measuring miRNA-136 or a fragment expression level thereof. The miRNA-136 can be widely used as a marker having excellent effects when developing a kit for diagnosing muscle aging and searching a muscle aging inhibiting substance, because various miRNAs including the miRNA-136 provided from the present invention can be used as a marker for diagnosing progression or onset of muscle aging which accompanies diseases as obesity or diabetes by decreasing energy metabolism, as well as myoatrophy by aging and a muscle hypofunction accompanying the myoatrophy, and for diagnosing an aging degree of the muscles.
