<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of flexibly transferring data of setting values even between applications which provide the same function but are managed as different applications with different application IDs depending on a difference between operating environments in such a circumstance that the operating environments of applications change depending on a model or a year model to which the applications are installed, so long as the applications provide the same function. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus receives import data which includes a setting file containing setting values to be used in a first application exported from other devices and a list of a plurality of application IDs indicating a plurality of applications which can use the setting file, and imports the setting file when a second application corresponding to an ID different from that of the first application in the list is present in the apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
