PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently suppress the deformation such as cockling and curling in a recording medium caused by the application of water-based ink, and to make the produced printed matter easy to be treated.SOLUTION: Before image recording with water-based ink is performed to a recording medium using cellulose fiber-containing paper as a base material, monofunctional monomers each having a hydroxyl group and/or an amide bond group and polymerized with active energy rays applied to the recording medium are polymerized by active energy ray irradiation, thus the deformation such as cockling and curling of the recording medium caused by the application of aqueous ink is prevented. |
